Megane E-Tech electric, the spearhead of Renaulution
All new Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric was presented on 6th September 2021 at the IAA MOBILITY in Munich. This breakthrough electric sedan with a new-generation touch screen and Google built-in provides pure driving sensations with its 220 horsepower. It is assembled in France and is the subject of 300 registered patents.

Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, has announced it as a precursor of the new mobilities of the brand, which is pivoting its business model towards technology, energy and mobility.

For its launch, Renault and Publicis Conseil unveil “Pixels”, an allegory of the old world where the sleek and sporty vehicle is associated with a red, roaring and noisy racing car. And how, in a new 100% electric era that leaves room for silence, we lose nothing in terms of sensation or driving pleasure with Megane E-Tech electric.

Mute the GTI
In this new film, we discover a red pixelated car roaring through the city. As it passes by, local residents are startled by the noise of its powerful engine. The car shakes a glass of water, a little boy covers his ears, a woman closes her living room window.

In front of a red traffic light, two very different cars are at a standstill: the pixelated car and new Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric. When the light turns green, the pixels dissolve and Megane E-Tech electric overtakes them, silently demonstrating its capabilities.

Thibaut Grevet, the film's director, has distilled the pixel codes throughout the film, in the settings and framing, creating a very graphic and ultra-modern overall impression.
The message is clear, the red pixelated car is immediately associated with a GTI-type sports car and it is clear that Megane E-Tech electric is just as powerful thanks to its 160 kW engine and its acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds.

The driving experience is now electric and silent. The message is for anyone who still doubts this.

To underline this change in energy, the song "Power" by the Pachanga Boys was reorchestrated by Start-Rec.

Laurent Aliphat, Renault Brand Content Creative Director, said: "Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric, it is the pleasure of driving uninhibited or how driving sensations no longer necessarily rhyme with the inconvenience for others."

The film will be broadcasted on Canal+ throughout the Formula 1® season.
